Importance of gutters

When working correctly, gutter systems direct rainwater away from the house, helping to lessen water and moisture damage. A functional gutter system helps to avoid damage to your roof (i.e. rot, mold etc.), humidity in windows, and water along the foundation of the house which could cause structural damage or even basement flooding. Downspouts work together with gutters to direct water away from the roof to the ground level.
